CEGA rolls out fraud initiative to its industry partners
12 March 2009Insurance fraud continues to represent a major challenge to the insurance market and increasing investment in detection measures is essential to protect insurers and customers alike.
CEGA's Special Investigations Unit (CSIU) in conjunction with the Cotswold Group has developed an innovative fraud solution specifically aimed at the travel insurance market. Fully equipped to deal with all aspects of fraud detection and prevention, CEGA is now ideally placed to deliver major savings for its clients.
Nick Godden Claims Manager at Axiom Underwriting comments, " CEGA's Special Investigations Unit encompasses the experience, skills and managed bespoke systems to enable the closer scrutiny of potentially fraudulent claims, and to examine them in a measured, systematic and cost effective way. Their cognitive interviewing system has already yielded positive and gratifying results for us. We would have no hesitation in recommending CEGA's fraud service to other underwriters".
Simon Cook, who heads up CEGA's Special Investigations Unit adds, "We have invested heavily in the latest technology and techniques to combat fraud. In 2008 we were able to show fraud savings in excess of £2million and expect this figure to rise as more and more insurers sign up to the service".
CEGA's fraud solution is available on a stand-alone basis or as an integral part of CEGA's travel claims service.
