ITIJ Winners

CEGA Group Services won the coveted title Assistance/Claims Handler of the Year at the International Travel Insurance Journal (ITIJ) Awards held in Athens in November 2009.

The awards attracted entries from major international service providers; whose initial success was dependent on votes from ITIJ subscribers. The independent judging panel then looked for excellence and professionalism from the finalists, in areas such as industry knowledge, client relationships and staff training.

Key to CEGA's success was its effective implementation of a range of business developement plans over the last twelve months. These have included staff training programmes that achieved record increases in both staff and customer satisfaction, innovative initiatives to contain medical cost and a pro-active approach to fraud. The latter led to increased detection rates in the context of a continuing commitment to treat customers fairly.
