I wish to thank and compliment CEGA in connection with your 'rescue' of my wife and myself following her accident on the hotel stairs in Turkey.  It was incredibly reassuring to talk to your representatives on the phone soon after the accident, when we really didn't know what we were, or should be, doing.  They kept us fully informed of progress...and as for your nurse, he was magnificent.  He knew exactly what to do, how to handle both hospital and airline staff, and filled us with confidence preparing for a daunting journey.  His concern for my wife's well-being throughout the journey was exemplary and I wish I could give him a medal or some meaningful token of our appreciation...Thank you so much.

We would like to send our sincere thanks to all at CEGA for the advice given while I was in hospital and for all the hard work in arranging for me to be returned home. I am sure that the organisation of this must have been a huge task. The return home was scary for me after the trauma of the accident but all the plans that the medical assistance team had put in place worked to the letter. In the press you normally hear of all the travel insurance nightmares and we would like to say how heart-warming it is to be dealt with by a team who care for the customer in what is very frightening circumstances.

I am writing on behalf of all our family to thank your wonderful staff for their assistance and professional manner in how they dealt with us during the sad loss of our Dad. During this very difficult time it was so comforting to know that your staff were there for us, they would ring us once or twice a day to ask if we were OK and if there was any thing they could do to assist us, and each time we had reason to contact them they were professional and very comforting, we almost felt like we know them. They were just wonderful, often going over and above what we expected of them. I know they will say "we were only doing our jobs" but believe me when I say they were truly wonderful to us at this very difficult time as they were. They even rang us when we got back to England to ask if we got home safely and how the flight home had been. When people are going through what we went through it is so nice to know that there are people who are as kind and as genuine as your wonderful staff are.

I wish to pass on both mine and my wife's extreme gratitude in the manner that your staff effected our recent repatriation from Spain. Last Thursday we were ready to depart when we were met with the news of the Volcano disruption whilst on the tarmac at Alicante Airport. The pilots adapted so professionally to the obstacles presented to them and the medical assistance provided was first class....we appreciate there was a whole army of staff working to get us back....So to sum up well done to all at CEGA for making us probably the last aircraft into the UK for many days, we appreciate it.

I received assistance that far exceeded my expectation - they ensured I knew what hospitals were available, checked the admission policy, sorted out the accounts department and bills (something I was not up to doing at that time) and made sure I was safe to travel home. It made a very upsetting issue a whole lot easier and I can't thank them enough.

Looking back over my year, the very toughest time was absolutely linked with one of the best times. In Corfu, with a detached retina was a worrying and daunting situation, but with CEGA's help it became, no less concerning, but a whole lot more manageable. On an emotional level and certainly a physical level I did feel a little battered and bruised, but the amount of personal involvement and support I felt from CEGA was absolutely second to none. I'm convinced that in August, we must have been the only people on your books! Thank you seems so inadequate, but I do thank you all - hugely.
