EURAMI Accreditation

CEGA Air Ambulance has become the first air ambulance provider in the UK to gain the European Aeromedical Institute (EURAMI) accreditation; created to promote high quality aero-medical transfers across the world, via fixed wing or rotor aircraft.

The full accreditation, which includes endorsement of CEGA's "special care" capabilities, gives it the highest level of EURAMI approval available. It is the conclusion of an external audit of CEGA's entire air ambulance operation, in which every aspect of its air medical services was assessed; from medical management and qualifications, to aircraft configuration, equipment and quality control.

The audit determined that CEGA demonstrates substantial compliance with EURAMI standards (which are based on legal standards of the European Union, such as EN 13718-2) and proven capabilities in the air transport of special high risk patients.
