The programme, an annual event in our training calendar, ensures that staff know about everything from the location of popular winter sports resorts and the nature of sports injuries, to the cover available from specific winter sports policies and the intricacies of the winter claims journey.
Interactive tasks are central to the training exercise, and include a quiz, games and even time spent on crutches, to enable teams to fully empathise with customers in their hour of need overseas.
“The aim of the programme is to ensure that all levels of staff are competent in the specifics of winter sports,” says Danielle Collings, claims trainer for CEGA. “It enables staff to offer the very best service to our customers, whilst containing costs efficiently for our insurer clients - whatever the nature of a claim.”
Common winter sports injuries include sprains, strains, dislocations, and fractures. CEGA’s in-house medical staff and multilingual teams will be supporting customers 24/7 – wherever they are in the world.
