New York, London and Paris are now the top three travel destinations for business, with Shanghai in fourth place and three other Asian cities also in the top ten: Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
Completing the ten are Toronto, San Francisco and Chicago, with São Paulo, Mumbai and Mexico City among those featuring in the top 20 business travel destinations*.
According to the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) business travel spending is expected to reach $1.7 trillion by 2022, with China predicted to retain its place as the world’s largest business travel market and the US set to grow more slowly than the global average.
