Alistair joined CEGA in January 2015, having delivered solutions to the insurance and corporate sectors for over 30 years, with a particular focus on travel, health and accident insurance and outsourcing. He brought invaluable experience from his recent roles as CEO Europe for a large US insurer and as managing director of the UK's third largest travel insurer.
Muir’s extensive background in claims management and operations has seen him progress through various management roles since joining CEGA in 2000, culminating in his appointment as operations director in 2006 and subsequently managing director in 2008.
Group Finance Director
David is a commercially-focused Finance Director having worked for over 20 years in regulated businesses and blue chip insurers including AIG and Aon. He was part of the management team that delivered significant improvements in financial performance of First Assist following a period of corporate re-structuring leading to a sale to Cigna a large US Medical and Health insurer. Following the acquisition by Cigna David managed the integration of the European Cigna Health and Protection portfolio into Cigna Worldwide based in Hong Kong. David took up his role in CEGA in 2017.
With nearly 30 years in the claims sector behind him, Neil’s role in transforming the claims journeys of travel insurance customers has been instrumental in maintaining CEGA’s position as a leading claims and assistance provider. He joined us in 2005 from Groupama Insurance, and was appointed CEGA’s operations director in 2013.
Jody is responsible for our commercial relationships and our growth agenda. He joined us in 2015, after 15 years in the travel insurance and assistance markets.
Chief Medical Officer, MBBCh
Lynn’s extensive medical experience straddles a range of disciplines; from helicopter trauma medicine and trauma intensive care, to general practice, global assistance and travel clinic management. Former roles include more than fifteen years as a senior ship’s doctor for Princess Cruises and several years running her own GP practice in South Africa. She joined CEGA in 2015 as a medical officer, and became CMO in 2017.
BMedSci MB BS(Hons) MRCP FRCA
CEGA’s medical advisor since 1986. Dr Holland provides independent strategic direction and medical advice. He is currently clinical director and consultant in anaesthesia and intensive care at North Bristol Hospitals Trust.
Head of Human Resources
A member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, Tara is keen to give individuals the ability to stretch their boundaries and learning experiences to make the most of their careers. She took on her role at CEGA in 2015, after 20 years in HR: several of which were spent in the NHS and the oil and gas and telecoms sectors.
Head of Supply Chain and Governance
Jeremy Joined CEGA in May 2016 , having been involved in a variety of key roles in outsourcing, supplier management and regulation for the intermediary, insurer and service market together with marketing and product management. He brings with him over 30 years' experience in both the large corporate client and intermediary supplier areas of insurance.
Head of Corporate Services
Chris brought extensive experience from senior positions in the British Army and security services industry, when he joined CEGA in 2016. In the past he has undergone tactical and strategic deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and specialised in complex evacuations, operational planning and intelligence analysis. Today, he manages relationships with corporate clients in the context of combined security and medical risk management.
Head of Business Transformation
Richard’s career at CEGA started back in 2003, after he had completed a degree in digital design. Since then he has held largely operational management roles; heading both our claims and retail medical assistance operations. He sees his current role as “a natural progression that combines my in-depth knowledge of CEGA's operation with my passion for customer service and all things digital.”
Head of Technical Claims and Special Investigations
Simon set up CEGA’s award-winning Special Investigations Unit in 2008, after an eleven-year career in motor and household insurance. His focus is firmly on the investigation of multi-discipline insurance fraud in all four corners of the world - using the very latest fraud detection techniques. Simon appears regularly in media features on fraud in the insurance industry and has recently been invited to join the Insurance Fraud Investigators Group (IFIG) as an events and training manager.
Head of Retail Insurance Services
Mike, who joined CEGA in 2016, has over 25 years' experience of the travel and health insurance sectors and has held senior-level roles within some of the industry's leading players. Mike is responsible for client relationships and operational and strategic management for the Retail and PHI division.
Head of Insurance Market Development
During his 15 years with CEGA, Ian has gained considerable operational experience, delivering solutions to insurer clients in the travel and assistance market. Before taking on his current role, he headed up our medical screening, claims and assistance departments.
Head of Marketing
Driven by a determination to help companies create high performing marketing campaigns using powerful messaging content, Gaynor joined CEGA in 2015. She has worked predominantly in the professional services sector for the last 15 years, most recently at PwC.
